It’s been a while since we’ve had a post on our Diocesan Jail Ministry website for Lower Buckeye Jail. Unfortunately, I don’t have any news for you about when we will be able to return to services at the jail. This post is to update you about the Kolbe Mission, the new Kolbe Mission website, and an upcoming concert to support the Kolbe Mission.
As you know from serving the men in jail, many of them wind up in jail because of the powerful hold that drugs and alcohol have on them. The Kolbe Mission will use a traditional addiction recovery program, combined with the power of Catholic spirituality, to help those suffering from addictions.
We have recently created a website for the Kolbe Mission. If you are interested in supporting the Kolbe Mission, or just finding out more about it, please visit the website at the following link: kolbemission.com.
There is also an upcoming concert to support the Kolbe Mission, scheduled for June 23, 2021, at St. Francis Xavier Parish. The internationally acclaimed composer, pianist, inspirational speaker, and inmate advocate, Eric Genuis, will be performing. Eric will be accompanied by a world-class violinist, cellist, and vocalist. More information about the concert can be found at the Kolbe Mission website ‘Upcoming Events’ tab. See here.
I hope to see you at the concert!
