This site is exclusively for volunteers for the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix Jail and Prison Ministry (JPM) at Watkins Jail. Volunteers can use this site to get information about their ministry at the jail.

The General Information tab has information that is useful to new volunteers, or as a refresher for current volunteers. There is information about how to get around in the jail, suggestions for how to do a service, guidelines for doing one-on-one visits, contact information for volunteers, as schedule of Diocese of Phoenix services at the jail, and summary information about services we have provided. The page with contact information of Watkins Jail volunteers is password protected. I have given the password to all the volunteers. Let me know if you don’t have it, or if you forgot it.

The site includes a blog which can be used by any of the volunteers to communicate information related to their ministry at Watkins Jail. This could be something that you have learned about the jail that would be helpful to other volunteers, or an inspirational experience you have had. I don’t foresee that the blog feature will be used much, but it is available for any volunteer who wants it. Just let me know and I’ll explain how to write a blog on this site. It is very easy to do. I have registered all the volunteers as authors on this website. They will all receive an email whenever a new post is added.

This website is for you volunteers. Please peruse it and let me know of any feedback you have.
